Our Fantastic Friday
Today is Friday and we have spent the day Singing, meeting new people and mapping out Asia. Every Friday morning after homework check we always sing a few songs from our Waiata book. Today we had two visitors from the hearing impared class Holly and Malcom. They will be spending more time with us from now on. This afternoon we mapped Asia and the countries that are part of Asia.
The best part of our week was when we designed our own New Zealand flag and writing our speeches.
Have a good weekend

O for Awesome Origami!
As part of our study on Asia we had a go at the traditional Japanese art of Origami.
Fact - Origami (折り紙?, from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper") is the traditional Japanese folk art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD and was popularized in the mid-1900s
It was an intense process that involved alot of folding, questioning and frustration but we got there in the end!!!
